What is egg freezing?

Egg freezing or cryopreservation refers to the freezing of eggs (oocytes) to sub-zero temperatures to preserve them for future use.

Egg freezing enables the preservation of the woman’s fertility by freezing her eggs before the quantity and quality of the eggs drops too low.

Why freeze your eggs?

A woman’s fertility diminishes over time as the quantity and quality of the eggs naturally decrease.

As more women are having children later in life when their fertility is lower, egg freezing can provide women with more flexibility to pursue their educational or career goals first while preserving their fertility for a later time.
